For my taste, I like the sound of the remix version. Again, nice work!4damind and eassae: Thanks for the listen, kind words, and suggestions. I am playing all the instruments and the goal was to have a "live" sound for the virtual band.
I think the room noise was me being overzealous with a new room plug in. I backed off the plugin considerably and upped the compression a bit. Here is the remix:
