Maybe I should read them again sometime, I bailed I think hallway through Foundations Edge (#4?) mainly due to discovering stuff like Neuromancer and Snowcrash, seemed more relevant to a teenager in the 80sI only read the first trilogy and prequels. I didn't think the books were tedious, but there was a lot of development and world building behind them. They were more about ideas than characters.


I think that's the issue with any adaption of these books, so much bigger than a few individuals which is what TV requires for better or worse, wants characters people can latch onto.
