Could be, Korg seems to think so making desktops of almost all the smaller format stuff like MiniLogue too.A desktop Take-5 or TEO-5 is a great idea, would sell thousands, but might compete with their own higher end products.
The sweetwater with Daniel Fischer is good example of versatility of TEO-5.
- you posted, thanks.
From support I got answer that you can copy over factory with the user stuff, 256 presets, but did not recommend that for some reason. Didn't say why.
- REV2 do and give 1024 total
- TAKE-5 do, but also a 2.0 firmware doubled amount, so maybe not needing a full copy anymore. So 256 total I think if factory is overwritten. Not sure if I got that right, not saying if userpart expanded to 256 or factory overwrite only making total 256.
Not sure how worked through it is since manual was not updated still(v1.02) with the missing parts
- not explaining how naming presets is done
- not explaining how Compare button works, if you can browse and preview while saving like on REV2?
512 is a fair amount to have if to really explore fully and make intermediate saves.
Don't think there is an auto spread voice panning either.
- pan has a matrix destination and lfo can be routed to constantly pan
- you only got a voice lfo and a global one to waste on that
- source as DC can make a fixed pan, I guess
- maybe use note number as source to a matrix slot and control pan?
- there is a source called voice spread if that can be used as is?
Such a nice modern thing to have a chord spread in stereo field
X-Mod through zero, not sure if that is unique.
- Had FM on Prologue without any tuning issues.
- it's been mentioned so much in reviews, even hyped
RingMod, never got a hang on this as an effect, it's on REV2 also and on TEO-5.
- Prologue had a switch to use for either sync or ring
Quite a few things are two handed operations over holding a button
- adjusting volume each oscillator etc
Better to wait a couple of firmware updates(still v1.0.0) and see where it goes....first ones arrive on friday here.....
