The particular issue with power management here happens to every system, custom or OEM. Its the chipset, CPU, plus the OS together that cause the issue.
Exactly my point. i don't have to deal with that kind of crap anymore. :)
All I have is a closed system I have to deal with the choices I made at purchase. And it will run until support ends and maybe a couple of years of bugfixes
I can live with that
If you dont have that issue, you are fortunate. Its just luck. Various chipsets, in the same series even, have the issue, and some dont. Ive built or purchased 5 systems including 2 laptops in the last 15 years, and 3 out of those 5 systems have the issue, 2 do not. Steinberg refused to make a list of platforms that dont have the issue, and as far as I know no one else has done this either.

The system Im on now, custom built by me, is perfect. The last system I built, perfect in every other way, had the issue. Apple systems, too, can have the issue. Anything with Performance and Efficiency cores *and/or* anything with Hyperthreading can have the issue. Core2Duo chipset first had the issue in 2002ish, when Steinberg recommended disabling HT on all cubase workstations. I *think* most M1-3 macs dont have the issue, but Im not a mac user.

Its a tricky, annoying issue when you have it, and Im hoping some day the various vendors solve it.
