Discovery can load NL patches but it doesnt sound like a NL. Discovery has more features, but the thing that makes the NL sound so good and unique, the stuff like OSCs, incredible clean but unique filters and FM etc are not the same.
Soundwise NL (and running NL rom in Nodal) has superior sound quality, its just not debateable.
Not saying Discovery is a bad synth in its own worth, it has more features and it was one of the top software synths back when it was released, but when talking actual raw sound quality, its is not on par with NL.
Nodal Red emulator takes more CPU as well, so indeed good to have choices.
